Mission Statement for Christian Formation God is radiantly present in the world, in our community, and in our church. In joyful response to God’s presence we seek to provide opportunities, presented from the Anglican perspective, for deeper Christian faith, equipping and enabling each of us to serve as conduits of God’s unconditional love for all people. And, as God calls children into ministry, we affirm and validate their relationships with God and their community. We believe that Christianity is a way of life, learned through participation in the life of the Church, and practiced over a lifetime, and that the way to begin is to engage in this process. Christian Formation We
offer Formation opportunities for
all ages every Sunday morning. The children’s class is using
Godly Play. The Godly Play format tells the stories of the
Bible in a way that encourages the children to interact with the
stories and thereby make them their own. The youth will continue using
the Season’s of the Spirit curriculum. This curriculum is
lectionary based (the scripture stories explored are the same lessons
that will be heard in the worship service that morning). This
curriculum is the first internationally developed curriculum, involving
partners from four countries. The Seasons of the Spirit emphasizes
worship, spiritual formation, and the arts.
There are two adult classes. One is a book study and the other is a forum on current issues and how they affect the Church. |

To
